My Place of Happiness

Nestling on the lap of a mountain,
a small cottage with blue curtains,
a bamboo fence around it,
a small hinged gate that creaks
every time I open it.

A lonely prayer flag in front,
a blue pine at the back.

Open the door,
and a bookshelf greets you,
Paulo Coelho watches
as you step over the red rug.

A smaller rug by the corner,
couple of red pillows.

An open window by your head,
a book on your hand.

Read. Read. Read.

This is my sanctuary.
